SUPERVISORS. Our Supervisors are all NNEB trained, First Aid qualified and have many years experience in childcare, with differing age groups of children .
PLAYWORKERS. Our Playworkers all have different backgrounds in childcare and are all 18 years +. They are either Student Teachers; Classroom Assistants; Guide Leaders; After School Club Supervisors; Experienced Nursery Nurses / Supervisors etc. We have a committed body of staff, many of whom have been with Shere Fun for 3 or more years.
JUNIOR PLAYWORKERS. Our Junior Playworkers work alongside Playworkers, they have a responsible nature and mature outlook. Many are studying / training in the childcare field. E.g Student NNEB's / BTEC in childcare; Take 10 For Play & NVQ 's in Childcare, Education & Playwork.
TRAINING. Staff regularly attend workshops, that broarden their skills on Shere Fun and so enhance the quality of the scheme. Shere Fun has a Training Budget and supports staff who wish to pursue further qualifications in Playwork. Eg Take 10 For Play / NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Playwork.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS. Shere Fun would not function without the support of the Committee Members whether they be staff or parents or in some cases both ! We hold regular meetings throughout the year to plan and organise each programme. We have a new programme each school holiday and constantly strive to offer a wide variety of activities, including old favourites plus new ones, with the aim that there is something for everyone !
